Villarreal wonderkid Samuel Chukwueze set for bright future.

Santi Cazorla returned to Villarreal in the summer as a legendary figure after seven years away from the Valencian club.

Cazorla joined the yellow submarine 15-years-ago from Real Oviedo and despite initial being sold to Segunda B outfit Recreativo Huelva, he was re-signed a year later and the rest as they say… is history.

Four solid seasons at the Estadio De La Ceramica earned the Spaniard his first big money move to big spenders Malaga before Joining Arsenal a year later.

Since the success story of Cazorla which still paints smiles of Villarreal fans even to this day, there has been no other players worthy of cult status.

Until now – Introducing Samuel Chukwueze.

After featuring for Villarreal CF B for most of the season, where he scored two goals in nine appearances, he recently got his chance when he was handed a substitute role by Javier Calleja and didn’t disappoint.

Scoring his first goal away to Rayo Vallecano and at the same time became the fifth youngest Nigerian to play in the Spanish top flight aged 19 years, 5 months and two weeks.

And it got even better for the teenager when he featured at the Ceramica against Real Betis, scoring again to secure all three points for the yellow submarine.

That’s 3 goals in eight senior appearances across all competitions.

The teenage sensation then made his national team debut for Nigeria against the cranes of Uganda at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.

And Former Real Madrid midfielder Mutiu Adepoju is confident that Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze has everything needed to become world class.

“He is a very good player and he has a good potential. Breaking into the first team of Villarreal means he has already broken the ice,” Adepoju told Goal.

“I believe he has the confidence, he is very skilful and he has the techniques. I just want to advise him to continue to be consistent and continue to learn from each game he plays. I believe he has everything for him to succeed.”
